Our Mission
RoofingCalculators.com provides homeowners and contractors with free, data-driven roofing cost calculators that deliver accurate, transparent estimates based on authoritative data sources — not guesswork, not marketing fluff.
Every estimate on this site is built from publicly verifiable data: Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data (OEWS 47-2181), NAHB construction cost surveys, BLS Producer Price Index data for roofing materials, EPA regulatory data, and AGC construction industry analysis. We cite our sources because we believe you deserve to know where the numbers come from.

Our Data Sources
Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS): We use OEWS occupation code 47-2181 (Roofers) data for state-by-state labor cost baseline. We also reference the BLS Producer Price Index (PPI) for roofing material cost tracking.
National Association of Home Builders (NAHB): NAHB construction cost survey data provides material and installed cost benchmarks that we cross-reference with BLS data and contractor surveys.
Environmental Protection Agency (EPA): EPA data informs our estimates for asbestos abatement, lead paint considerations, and disposal regulations that affect tear-off and replacement costs.
Associated General Contractors (AGC): AGC construction industry data helps us track labor availability, regional market conditions, and construction cost trends.
Contractor surveys: We supplement government data with ongoing surveys of roofing contractors across all 50 states to validate and refine our estimates.
